Dear Manestage Theatre Patrons:
As you all know, Ralston Valley High School and the Manestage Theater Company have been producing quality plays and musicals for 20 years. For us to provide quality and professional experiences for the students and our community, our theater requires quality equipment. The Manestage Theater Company is a self- funded organization. We do not receive a budget from the school, nor the district. Our program is fully funded by our patrons and we THANK YOU for your support. Over the past few years, the theater department has budgeted and saved to upgrade much of our original equipment. We now have an industry standard digital sound board and new speakers and we have a new lighting board that is fully compatible with the latest LED lighting technology (including the high tech motion lights).
Unfortunately , we still have some important upgrades to accomplish. Our 20 year old backstage communications system has recently stopped working. The system allows all of our technicians and directors (lights, sound, orchestra conductor, stage managers, etc.) to communicate during rehearsals and of course, the production. Over the years it has been repaired many times, but it is so old the company does not make parts for it anymore.
Theatrical equipment is very expensive, therefore, we are currently seeking donations to continue to update our equipment and facility. The communications system is our most critical need (cost is approximately $6800.00). We are also trying to utilize our LED lighting capabilities but adding LED stage lights (about $800-$1000 each.) Finally, we are also trying to upgrade our wireless microphones as they are getting outdated.
