Students in grades 9-11 will take the required PSAT/NMSQT on Tuesday, October 8th from 8:15 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m. for standard time test takers. Buses will run on this day at normal times and lunch will be served. Any students who remain on campus after they have completed testing will be supervised in the gymnasium until dismissal at 3:30 p.m. Seniors will not attend school on this day.
Students will need to arrive with a fully-charged, school-issued chromebook, school ID and a pencil.
The $14 fee for the test has been placed on 9th-11th grade student accounts and can now be paid online. Please pay by October 4th if you haven't already.
What to bring:
FULLY CHARGED school-issued Chromebook. The test is online and the app needed to take the test is on school Chromebooks. Students in extended time rooms should also bring their charging cords. Students in standard-time testing rooms will not have access to power for charging so it's essential devices are brought fully charged. The test is approximately 2 hrs long with a 10 minute break between sections.
Student ID or other picture ID
Pencils or pen - scratch paper is provided if students want to work problems or make notations on paper. All answers must be entered online.
Approved calculator (optional). A calculator is also available in the testing app. Calculators on phones or smart watches are not approved for use.
Water (must be stored under desk), no other liquids are allowed
DO NOT Bring:
Cell phone (leave in locker, car, or at home)
Smart watches that connect to phones, bluetooth, cell, or internet
Starbucks or any other brand (coffee, tea, milk, etc...)
Soda or energy drinks
